Welcome to Drives of Yesteryear
We are a family run business, founded in 2017, operating from our base of Royston, on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border, serving these and the surrounding Counties.
We are able to offer two quite separate motor vehicle services.
First is the provision of chauffeur driven British Classic and American Muscle Cars for weddings. An overview of the cars appears below. Click on the following pictures for more details.
Secondly, for the motoring enthusiast who enjoys the experience of driving, we have classic vehicles available for self drive hire. Click for more information on this service.

Two Classic and Traditional Armstrong Siddeley's
At the heart of our wedding car fleet are our two beautiful Armstrong Siddeley Sapphires - The Count and The Green Lady. These vehicles were built in the 1950's when opulence and luxury motoring was at its best. Our classic cars are testament to this. They are the perfect way to arrive in style for your wedding.

We are able to supply traditional wedding cars, along with more modern vehicles and some quirky options, which we hope will appeal to the widest variety of tastes and wedding styles. The choices for you include vehicles you hire purely for photographs and static display; chauffeur driven cars and cars for self drive hire.
All vehicles are fully insured and maintained to the highest standard. They will be fully valeted and decorated with ribbons and bows in the colour, or colour combination, of your choice.
We pride ourselves on the immaculate presentation of our cars and, our personal and professional service to you on your most important and special day. Our experience allows you to relax and enjoy your journey to your ceremony, or as you travel for the first time together as a married couple, whilst ensuring that you arrive in utmost elegance and style.
We appreciate that your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life. So that you can be happy that you always have our full attention, each vehicle is only booked for one wedding per day.
We recognise that every couple will have their own unique requirements for their wedding. The vehicles that we have available present a variety of options that we hope will cater to many different tastes and needs. We can provide you with a quotation that is specific to your wishes.

Wedding and Event Props
There is a strong desire among couples to dress the wedding venue in their own personal style. This prompted us to set up our own Prop Hire division. We aim to save anyone planning a wedding, or other event, the stress and aggravation involved in searching for the props which fit their theme and complement the venue.

Mobile Mini and Crazy Golf Courses
We introduced our deluxe wedding themed mini golf course at the beginning of 2023. The course consists of up to 9 holes.
We have now added a crazy golf course, with its brightly painted boards and obstacles. Up to 12 holes can be hired. Find out more by clicking the images or button below.
Lawn Games
Outdoor games have become very popular at weddings for children (and indeed adults) to play during quieter moments in the day. We will have a range of our own for hire.
We have 14 lawn games to pick from including Jenga, Noughts and Crosses, Connect Four plus our range of scarecrow themed games.
Alongside this we will have games that will have more of a "Ye Olde Fayre" feel to them. There are 5 games which all have a scarecrow theme to them.
Bespoke Bunting
Looking for bunting to dress the venue but cannot find anything that fits your theme? We are able to make bunting to fit with your design ideas. Any design and length is possible.
